We met on Thursday (October 15th) with NPCC (National Productivity and Comptetitiveness Council). The council works with various government and non-government bodies throughout the country to promote cooperation and raise productivity, especially in vulnerable sectors. More information can be found on their website, http://www.npccmauritius.com.
We met with Dr. Krishna Coonjan, the CEO of NPCC, who has significant experience in education. He was very excited by and supportive of our initiative. We spoke at length about NPCC’s activities and initiatives, and were impressed by their dedication to promoting development in Mauritius at the grassroots level.
We believe that NPCC will form an important link between us and the community, allowing us to reach our target groups better and to expand on existing initiatives. Besides giving us access to their own facilities for our Fellows to use, NPCC will provide a way for us to find local educators to work with our Fellows. We will also be able to work together with NPCC to begin new initiatives targeting youth, and to build links between our organization and the community.
