While we soon hope to have an entire section of the blog devoted to students’ work, I figured I might as well start posting some of the poems my pupils have completed during the first part of the course. Most of the poems we work on in class are geared towards working on specific poetic techniques–such as rhyme and alliteration–and as such, the following works reflect some of the practices we’ve been dealing with so far. Enjoy!
Love
By Ved
Love is beautiful
It keeps us together
We can’t break it
Love never dies
It glow up in our heart
Love is always in the art
Love brings trust and promises
Love never breaks
Love is on my lips
Friendship
By La Fouine and Sandy
I like to make friend
What I love is friendship
Which floats like a ship
No friendship means no life
My life will be a horse ride
And also without pride
Finally, if I lose friendship
My life will be dull
Like a forgotten skull
Tongue Twisters
She sells snacks near a shop and the shopkeeper shouted at her. She sells snacks to shopkeepers by her scooter. She sells shops near the shore. She is a snack seller and sells snacks to shopkeepers.
-Kunal & Bimal
Rat & Rabbit heard a roar of lion and to rent a house. They roll and kept on rolling. At the end of the day a roasted chicken was roasted to roast to roll over the fire.
