Tonight I received a top-notch haircut from our very own, Brittany Robinson. We had a brief consultation with the other ELI fellows, and then she went at it. She’d never cut a guy’s hair before, so it was an exercise in trust, but the results speak to her true calling as a barber.
On a broader and slightly more serious note, this week has been all about building trust. In the office and in our adventure to the Ile aux Cerfs, I’ve grown closer and closer to the ELI family and have learned to trust their judgment, their work, and their opinions. It’s becoming clearer and clearer that this is a team of professional, fun, and incredibly talented individuals.
Today we had a surprise visit from Dr. Pascal Nadal from the Mauritius Institute of Education. He was gracious enough to spend the afternoon bringing us up to speed on the Mauritian education system, and we’re all now better prepared to begin teaching our courses come next week. Until then, here’s a shot of some of the ELI family from our past week (photo cred for the haircut shot goes to Lindsay.)
Over and out,
Bryan
