Unquestionably, developing a child’s reading skills is one of the most significant elements of a child’s intellectual education. Reading highly contributes to children’s language skills, enhances their ability to concentrate and encourages a thirst for knowledge among many other equally beneficial things ; that is why we deemed it important to promote its value and inculcate a reading program in our schools.
Books are made available to the children, however merely having them on display is quite futile. This is when our reading project proves to be helpful. Our program works in such a way so as to provide each child with individual attention while they are taught how to read so that their different needs and difficulties can be addressed personally without the pressure of a whole classroom around them.
We do not only help them improve their reading skills, but our volunteers also show them how they should read.
The goal of this project goes beyond simply teaching children how to read. We aim to enhance their imagination and creativity, introduce them to different topics and of course, we hope to make them consider reading as a form of entertainment rather than a chore
